先日、巌流島ミステリーというテレビ番組が放送されました。 赤井英和さん、山下慎二さんがナビゲーターとなり、巌流島の決闘の虚実を探るという趣向で、それぞれ宮本武蔵、佐々木小次郎に扮した赤井さんと山下さんがコミカルに決闘するシーンもあり。 武蔵、小次郎に所縁がある地を巡り、様々な謎を検証していくという番組で、筆者が考える巌流島の決闘とは少し違うかもしれないと思いましたが、結構、楽しめました。 （もしかして、この番組って西日本ローカル？） 番組のホームページはこちら↓ This is URL of this programme's website↓ http://www.yab.co.jp/ganryu/ この番組を見ているうちに、ふと思いました。 そうだ、巌流島へ行こう。 実は、巌流島へは何度も行ったことがあります。 しかし、今回は特別。何しろ、筆者は去年、二天一流の稽古に参加し始めました。つまりは、武蔵先生の弟子になったということ。 師が命を賭けて闘った聖地へ、報告に行くようなものです。 また、もう一人の決闘の当事者、佐々木小次郎は、同じく昨年に刊行された筆者のデビュー作”渡り侍 佐々木小次郎＜青年編＞”の主人公。 新たな”佐々木小次郎”の本が世に出たということを、その御霊に報告せねば。 という訳で、下関にやって来ました。 巌流島行きの渡船は、唐戸桟橋から日中、ほぼ３０分間隔で出ています。 料金は往復で１０００円。でも、片道で買う人はいないでしょう。 往復で買わなかったら、島から泳いで帰るハメになります。（笑） 船が出るまで時間があるので、初詣へ。  唐戸市場の前にある亀山八幡宮です。 This is Kameyama shrine in front of Kartato market. 神社の左手は現在、駐車場になっていますが、昔は写真館があったそうで、詩人、金子みすずが最後の肖像写真を撮ったそうです。 彼女は自殺しているので、その写真が自分の最後の肖像になることを当然、知っていた筈。というよりも、その覚悟を抱いて、この場を訪れたのでしょう。 さて、この亀山八幡宮、最大のふく像があるそうですが、ふくの像なんて、そんなに数がないのに、大きいも小さいもないと思うんだけど。 これが、そのふく像。↓ This is a statue of Fuku (blowfish).↓  さっきから筆者は”ふぐ”ではなく”ふく”と書いていますが、別に濁点を忘れた訳ではありません。 下関では、河豚は”ふく”と濁らずに発音することになっているのです。 ふくは下関のシンボルということで、この通り、マンホールの蓋にまで。  町のシンボルをマンホールの蓋に描くということは、何処が始めたことなのでしょうか？ 鎌倉に行った時には源氏の紋所”笹竜胆”が、岡山県大原町では”宮本武蔵”が描かれたマンホールを見ました。 そもそも何故、マンホールの蓋なのか？誰か知っていたら、教えてほしいものです。 そして、参拝。 願い事は、別にありません。 ”神仏は尊し、されど神仏は頼まず” by 宮本武蔵 ということで、神に敬意を払い、拝んでいるだけです。願いは自力で叶えるもの。 と言いつつ、おみくじは引きました。これって矛盾？ 中吉でした。女難に注意と書かれていましたが、難と言われる程にモテてみたいよと思うのは不謹慎？ おっと、そんなことを考えている内に、出航の時間が迫っている。桟橋に戻らねば。 The other day I watched a TV programme "The mystery of Ganryujima" Actors Mr.Aki,Hidekazu and Mr.Yamashita,Shinji were in that programme and they researched abut the duel at Ganryujima island. In the programme,Mr.Akai and Mr.Yamashita acted as Musashi and Kojiro. They dueled in the end but it was a funny one. They traveled some places where Musashi or Kojiro lived or visited. In such spots,thet reserched about Miyamoto,Musashi or Sasaki,Kojiro and their secret. It was different from my idea of the duel but the programme itself was not bad. (I guess this programme might be on the air only west Japan?) While I was watching the programme,I began to think I want to visit Ganryuujima island. Actually I have visited there many times but this time was special. Because last year I started to lean Musashi's martial arts,Niten-ichiryuu it means I became a pupil of Musashi. So I go to the island where my master fought to say I became your pupil. And Musashi's opponent Sasaki,Kojiro is the hero of my first published novel "Kojiro the wanderring samurai <about his younger days>" I must say that new book about "Sasaki,Kojiro"has been published to his spirit. Those are reasons that I come to Shimonoseki. The boats for Ganryuujima island leave from Karato pier every 30 minujtes in daytime. The fare is 1000 yen for round trip.But I guess no one buy one way ticket. If we don't buy round trip tickets,we have to swim from the island. I have some time so I go to the first praying to Kameyama shrine. The left of the shrine is now parking lots but in old days there was a photo studio and a famous poet Kaneko,Misuzu came there and was taken her picture. It was her last picture.Because after few days she commited suicide. Since she killed herself,she must knew that picture would be her last one. Or she came there to ask them to take her last one. Anyway this Kameyama-shrine has the biggest statue of Fuku(blow fish). But I think such statues are kind of rare so it doesn't matter whether it is big or small. I write "Fuku" not "Fuhu".Because in Shimonoseki,people call a blowfish "Fuku" instead of "Fugu". Fuku(blowfish) is a symbol of Shimonoseki so we can see pictures of it on the lid of manholes. We can see such lids of manhole in many towns in Japan.I saw a picture of "bamboo blades and gentian" it is a crest of Genji family in Kamakura.I also saw a picture of Miyamoto,Musashi in Ohara town in Okayama prefecture. Why they draw something on lids of manholes?Does anyone know the reason? If you know it,Please tell me. I prayed. I prayed for nothing. "We should respect gods and buddhas but don't rely on them" Miyamoto,Musashi said so. I follow his word and just respect the god. I shuld come true my dream by myself. But I buy a fortune slip.Do I contradict myself? It said middle-lucky and I should be careful of women. Is it shameless to think that I want to be loved by women and be in trouble? たそがれさん、確かな資料と言えるかどうかは兎も角、北九州市小倉の手向山に、武蔵の養子、伊織が建てた武蔵の顕彰碑があります。その文面には豊臣方で大坂の陣に参加していたとあります。一方、徳川方だったという話もありますね。 |
